Dr. Brant Weinstein is head of the Unit on Vertebrate Organogenesis, in the Laboratory of Molecular Genetics at the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD), NIH. Dr. Weinstein's laboratory uses the zebrafish as a model system to study the embryogenesis of the vertebrate vasculature. Together with Dr. Sumio Isogai, he carefully analyzed many gigabytes of confocal images and derived detailed descriptions of the wiring patterns of developing vessels, and prepared the drawings displayed on this website. | |||||
